So, North updated the older monsters, calling them Stamina-based Monsters and changing their HP values to stamina counts. I ought to have messaged him first to find out what's up, but instead I just reverted it. Upon hearing an extended explanation of the edit, I can see where it's going but I want to open up the dialog to develop better wording and consistent site information. Here's what North says a SBM is:
- [CA] doesn't count how much damage you do against Stamina based monsters, like Keira, only how much stamina you spend.
- Power Attacks count as 6 Stamina spent. This means that doing one Power Attack (5 Stamina) counts as 6 Regular Attacks (1 Stamina).
- Critical hits count as 3 Attacks. If you get a Critical hit on a Regular Attack (1 Stamina) it counts as 3 Stamina spent. If you get a critical on a Power Attack it counts as 18 Stamina spent (3 x 6 Stamina; read the above statement).
So. Do y'all agree? Is there more to this, like in how CA keeps track of monster ratings? Why is it different from monster achievements whose minimums are measured in damage done? Does it make sense to display information that differs from what is one the actual game pages, or can we provide this stamina count in addition to the HP reading? How can we serve low- and high-level players at the same time? Go check out the pages and bring the discussion back here. The monsters in question are:
